Not Me... Tis' the Season

I have an eight month old who is teething, growing and waking up three to four times during the night which is why my eye twitches, why I have black  circles under my eyes, and why I eat chocolate to keep me fueled during the day.  It is also partly why I deny reality... it helps me cope.  Don't judge me, just jump on in and read about what "does not" go on in my world.  :0)

I did not decide to have a second annual Christmas party since last year's event went so well.  Also, since last year's event was smaller than anticipated, I did not decide to invite twice the amount of people.  We did not end up having 36 people at our wee little bash.  :)

Due to the genetics of our family, we are not strange and we do not tend to make up weird songs as we go about our day.  Our house does not sound like a poor Broadway musical and we definitely do not sing about every mundane thing we do.  I do not sing while making pancakes or doing dishes.  Uriah does not sing about all things gross and does not need to be reminded that it is inappropriate to re-word Christmas songs using the words "boogers" and "toots".

I did not download pictures off of the camera only to find copious amounts of pictures of Lego mini-figures along with these beauties.

Here is a helpful hint... if Uriah offers you a cookie, make sure he has washed his hands first. Or better yet... just wash the cookie.

My poor husband blinks... a lot ... whenever I try to take his picture.  Most photos do not come out like this:
 Did I blink?

I did not discover if I take the flash off ... or at least tell him I did so, then he only blinks one out of three photos.
YAY!
Ethan does not take after his Dad...

I did not receive an amazingly comfy pair of pajamas from my Mom and Dad for Christmas and due to their coziness, I did not wear them for three DAYS straight.  :)  Morning, noon and night.

So, what is not going on in your neck o' the woods?

Hmm, what's going on in MY neck of the woods? Well, I sit at my computer in front of an upstairs window where the sun creeps up through the pines and the sky is silver. BUT, it's a bit chilly (the sliding keyboard tray is metal, so my hands get cold), so I type with fingerless mitts on! I feel like Scrooge in Dickens' classic story! BUT...my life is great! It's slow (lack of work), it's homey (lack of money), it's full of wonder (I wonder when I'll get a job). In all seriousness, I have peace in my heart. And I AM happy!!!
So...that's how my day is going......
    Lunch soon?
    Love,
    Mary
